Our Story

Our Founding and Evolution (History)

GCGC's core mission is to empower young women by providing high-quality, accessible graduate and undergraduate education in a supportive environment. We offer a range of comprehensive programs, including BS degrees in Computer Science, Economics, and more, committed to shaping responsible, skilled citizens.

1971

A local charitable organization, Anjuman Falah Banat (Registered), established the Crescent Girls College in the south of Block No. 16 in 1971 to cater to the educational needs of the vast area of chichawatni and its surroundings.

1976

Due to the efforts of the said organization, the college was taken over by the national government from September 1, 1976. During this period, education up to F.A., F.Sc. was offered in the college.

1984

Degree classes were offered in the college from January 1984 & Bsc.

2009

Computer classes were offered in this college from January 2009.

2018

Due to the efforts of the principal and public demand, an associate degree program in Arts and Science was started in this college in 2018.

2021

From 2021, The four-year degree program has been started in four subjects Urdu, Economics, English and Physics. Now along with these four subjects BS Has been started in the disciplines of Computer Science and Chemistry.

Our Vision

To be a center of Excellence for the education of women by offering academic programs which promotes student’s success and creates lifelong learners which foster positive human values for successful living.

It is affiliated with BISE Sahiwal and the University of Punjab, Lahore. The Government of Punjab provides meritorious scholarships and laptops to the students of BS.

Aims and Objectives The highest aim of our institution is to enhance the quality of education, provide an ideal creative and practical environment for the students so that they become the guardians of religious beliefs and prove to be the best citizens of the country.

Our aim is to provide excellent opportunities for the development of the students under the influence of effective guidance from the institution, parental involvement, academic environment and excellent teaching
